Regulations for Participation in the INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

SYMPOSIUM - BODYGRAPHIA - 2011

The 6th international act photography symposium "BODYGRAPHIA -2011" is going to be held in the region of the old Bulgarian capital - Veliko Tarnovo and in the small beautiful town Dryanovo from June 14th to August 19th in 2011.

The symposium is organized by initiative of "PHOTO SYMPOSIUM BODYGRAPHIA- BULGARIA" in association with the financial support of:

1. "Dryanovo Park-hotel *** ", Dryanovo

2. "Dynaphos" - a company for lighting facilities

3. Club "Jack"

4. www.photo-forum.net

Goal: To represent the rich body language by means of photography.

Equipment that can be used: Digital photography and technology

Participants are 20 Bulgarian and non - Bulgarian photographers who had discovered and proved to know the symbolism and the meaning implied in the human body. Like every year the SYMPOSIUM will have a competitive nature.

Bodygraphia is a compound word from 'body' and 'graphos'- writing.

The means of photography provides the opportunity to perpetuate and show the perfect mixture of nude body and light.

The organizers provide:

1. A stay for six nights in "Dryanovo Park-hotel *** ", Dryanovo /20 km from Veliko Turnovo/

2. Models-for free as part of the program

3. Free duplication of up to three exhibition items, size 30/40

4. Exhibition at Raphael Mihaylov exhibition halls - Veliko Turnovo

5. Presentation on the Internet and other printed and electronic media

6. Catalogue of the exhibition "Bodygraphy"

7. Exhibitions at national and international exhibition halls

8. Provision of recommended photo destinations

9. Slideshow exhibition /during the opening ceremony of the exhibition/

10. Making a film about BODYGRAPHY exhibition and film release on different TV channels and on the Internet

11. Calendar for 2012 with 14 pieces from the exhibition mentioned above

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS

Photographic equipment /digital photographic devices, for taking pictures size 30/40. Giving exclusive rights when using the exhibition exponents for the exhibition goals and the sponsors without claims for remuneration on the part of authors and models. Provision of rights for organizing retrospective exhibitions, web publications, publishing of media repots, making records as contribution to the exhibition fund and catalogue. The number of pictures for participation in the exhibition is 3 and they have to be copied on a digital device.

Giving the models the right to use the exhibited works made by photographers for a portfolio, notebooks or web pages.

Mobile and static studio lightning is provided by DYNAPHOS.

Only accredited photographers have the right to take photos.

Only and solely accredited persons have the right of attendance and participation in the event.

All public events within the exhibition framework are free from entrance fees.

The symposium organizers take the prerogative of taking pictures and record-making/radio, television, printed press/ without making payment to photographers and the models in exchange in order to popularize the symposium.

The application documents must contain the following information: applicant's names, short professional CV and photo-presentation (link to the author's profile, personal website or PDF). The successful candidates will be contacted on the e-mail address shown in the application.

Selection of photographers - the symposium organizers and the sponsors will process the application documents on the basis of which successful candidates will be selected to participate in the symposium. All participants in BODYGRAPHIA 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 will have equal rights as the new participants.

The participants must arrive in the city of Dryanovo on August 14th , 2011.

Participants are responsible for the transportation and transfer expenses on the way to Veliko Tarnovo and back.

Note: each photographer is given the opportunity to use his/her own: lights, transport and other specific supporting appliances at his/her own expense.
